\"Sierra<\/a>Squaw Valley\u2019s Julia Mancuso<\/a>\u00a0celebrates with family and friends after winning Bronze in the women\u2019s Super-Combined at Sochi \u2013 making her the most decorated female skier in United States history. She smoked everyone (by .43 second) in the downhill portion and then skied a good slalom run to win the Bronze medal.\u00a0Mancuso has four Olympic medals \u2013 one in each color. With her eyes set on more wins, anticipation builds for Wednesday\u2019s downhill and Saturday\u2019s Super G.<\/p>\n

By Erik Brady –\u00a0KRASNAYA POLYANA \u2014\u00a0Scott Webber<\/a>\u00a0returned from the concession stand loaded down with hot dogs and French fries between races of Monday\u2019s women\u2019s super combined. \u201cFeels like the Rockies opener out here,\u201d he said as he passed the food all around.<\/p>\n

Webber is Julia Mancuso\u2019s stepfather (pictured left with wife Andrea, and daughter Julia) and she has a traveling party of eight family members at the Games. Their winter coats were open and their gloves off \u2014 and they are happy with the unseasonably warm conditions.\u00a0\u201cThis is Tahoe weather,\u201d said April, Julia\u2019s older sister. \u201cCan\u2019t beat it.\u201d\u00a0MORE:<\/strong>\u00a0Photos of Julia Mancuso\u2019s career<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mancuso finished the downhill portion of the race in first place. Other skiers complained the snow was too sticky. Not Julia. \u201cThe snow felt a little bit softer so it was easier to really drive into my skis,\u201d she said.\u00a0\u201cThis is Julia\u2019s kind of weather,\u201d said her mother, Andrea Mancuso Webber<\/a>. Had she ever seen her daughter ski in warmer conditions? \u201cI\u2019m trying to think,\u201d she said. \u201cThe U.S. Nationals is in March. Maybe there.\u201d<\/p>\n

They were behind the grandstand in a gathering spot for fans between races that was more muddy than snowy amid dozens of flag poles with banners of the world raised high but hanging limp, no wind to animate them.\u00a0Mancuso\u2019s grandmother, Sheila Tuffanelli, 80, said the weather makes no difference to her. \u201cHot, cold, I wouldn\u2019t miss this,\u201d she said. \u201cToo bad more Americans didn\u2019t come here. Mancuso\u2019s close friend, British ski racer Chemmy Alcott, said Mancuso \u201clooked like she was skiing a normal course.
