The evening begins outside in the grand courtyard with cocktails and canap\u00e9s and when the crisp September night air settles into the courtyard, guests go inside the entertainment barn. This unique barn must be viewed to take in all its amazing features including a Chef\u2019s Kitchen where award winning Chef Roland Passot prepares an exclusive gourmet dinner for Parasol\u2019s guests. French-born Chef Passot is owner of San Francisco\u2019s famed La Folie where he showcases his own personal style of cooking. Named <em>Best Rising Star Chef <\/em>in 1980 by the James Beard Foundation, Chef Passot was inducted into the prestigious and very exclusive Ma\u00eetre Cuisiniers de Franc Society in 1991 and was nominated for James Beard <em>Best Chef in California<\/em> in 2005, 2006 and 2007. La Folie received a coveted Michelin Star in 2006 and has maintained it every year. In 2014 the San Francisco Chronicle gave La Folie a four star rating and listed it as one of the top 100 restaurants in San Francisco. \u201cParasol is the perfect organization to bring people together,\u201d said Chef Passot. \u201cI am honored to have been chosen this year to bring fun, French food and wine to the party.
