Carson got his introduction to the real estate industry while tasked with selling off non-operational commercial property assets during the Enron scandal.<\/p>\n

Carson says he enjoyed the competitive nature of real estate transactions, especially in developing countries. His work experience also provided him the opportunity to live in a number of different countries and enjoy many cultures.<\/p>\n

Sao Paulo, Brazil, is among Carson\u2019s favorite places to live but he found it to be challenging from a business perspective. The scenery and festive culture made for an exciting lifestyle, and Carson says having his children grow up in that environment was rewarding.<\/p>\n

The best advice Carson says he\u2019s received during his career is to take calculated risks and embrace change. Carson says he believes the stress of relocation and facing new professional challenges are outweighed by the new experiences and perspective that accompany, and that significant life changes can result from the pursuit of opportunity.<\/p>\n
