Robert Von Hagge designed the 18-hole championship golf course in 1996 with related practice facilities for driving, putting, chipping and sand practice.
This course is by far the best-conditioned course in its area, according to its members. Host of the Ace Senior PGA Classic for three years, US Open qualifiers, the Florida Ladies Senior Tournament and the Mid-Senior Pro Am, the Bay Colony Golf Club course was one of the favorite courses of the pros on tour.
It ranks fair to hard with no big carries and a lot of mounding. The greens are kept well hidden near sand bunkers and will challenge any shot made from the fairways. There is water on many holes of the course that may hinder certain tee shots.
There are many men’s, ladies’, and mixed golf events throughout the year and the club holds a staff of six PGA and LPGA professionals for members to meet and play.
