Local Expertise. Global Connections.
Born & raised in Denver, Dana is a true Colorado Local. After graduating from Cherry Creek High School, Dana went on to the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the School of Journalism (with an emphasis in marketing & advertising) and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. After college, Dana's heart was set on moving to Vail for what she thought would be several months to enjoy a season of snowboarding.
As the old saying goes, “you come for a winter, stay for a summer, then never leave,” Dana ended up staying and spending the next 19 years in Vail working in the restaurant/hospitality scene. This got her involved in The Court of Master Sommeliers, where she earned her Sommelier Certification in April 2012. The world of wine became what Dana thought would be a long-term career until she and her husband traded the I-70 corridor and moved to Steamboat Springs in 2021.
Growing up with parents in the real estate industry, Dana decided to follow suit and became a real estate agent in the Yampa Valley. As a kid, her father would always say, “one of the most important decisions you will make in your life is where you live.” It was always important to Dana that she reside in an area that feels like “someone else’s vacation.” If you are looking to find the perfect balance of work and play in the Steamboat area and the “everyday vacation” mentality is part of your lifestyle, Dana will be dedicated to making that a reality for you. She will work diligently for you and with you to help you navigate the market so that you can find your very own dream home! And if you want to chat about wine, you can find Dana occasionally working the floor at The Primrose Restaurant as their sommelier, AKA “The Wine Maven.”
