Melanie Hayes has lived in the Washington metropolitan area for nearly three decades. She has called the Dupont Circle and Georgetown neighborhoods home for the last 11 years. Prior to joining TTR Sotheby's International Realty, she worked as a financial analyst at US Trust and subsequently at Evercore Trust Company. Her primary responsibilities included analyzing publicly traded companies and developing strategies for the sale of large blocks of stock in pension plans. After majoring in Economics at Mary Washington College, a small liberal arts school in Virginia, she worked in asset management, venture capital, private banking, and as a financial analyst. It was her appreciation of the importance of homeownership that inspired Ms. Hayes to move from the world of financial services to focus on matching clients with their ideal home. Her analytical background enhances her ability to understand, analyze and evaluate a transaction on behalf of her clients. In addition to analysis, she is able to offer her clients her personal knowledge of Washington and the surrounding area.
