VANESSA ‘NESS’ FENNESSEY Ness Fennessey arrived on St Croix in 2001 after a journey that took her around the world. She promptly fell in love with the island. Hailing from a long line of London realtors (‘estate agents’, as her Dad would have her say) dating back to 1804, Ness feels it was preordained she would eventually become a realtor herself. While her first career was the restoration of antique furniture, in 2006 Ness decided the time was right to change careers. Ness’s well honed sense of aesthetics made the move from fine furnishings to charming homes a natural transition. She has considerable experience in helping sellers and buyers of St Croix properties, whether residential, income producing or commercial, and has worked closely with a wide array of clients, from St. Croix families to second-home buyers to the federal government. In October 2009 HGTV’s House Hunters International invited Ness to participate as the local realtor in an episode of the popular TV show being filmed on St Croix. In her first ‘House Hunters’ Ness showcased St. Croix with three homes located in different parts of the island. The show was a huge hit and she was invited to film another in 2011, this time focusing exclusively on the East End. Ness encouraged the producers to film island wide while they were here and the HGTV camera crew collected footage of this truly lovely island to show the rest of the world.
