Devonvale is set in the heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands. This location, on valley slopes, allows for wonderful mountain and vineyard views and the scenery is further enhanced by the abundance of established trees throughout the course.

Challenging Holes:
3rd Hole – Par 5 – 491 meters Ladies – 429 meters
It is unusual to enjoy two par 5’s in a row. This hole is challenging off the tee as a row of trees on the right and out of bounds vineyards on the left make for an intimidating tee shot. There is some respite however, as the fairway widens and runs downhill to a large green that slopes uphill from front to back. Any shot overshooting this target will have a steep embankment to negotiate on the way back to the green.
Picturesque Holes:
2ND hole – Par 5 – Men - 464 meters Ladies – 400 meters
This hole begins from a high tee to a fairway below, which doglegs gently to the right. The landing area slopes quite sharply from left to right and a tee shot too far right will run down a steep embankment. On reaching this green consideration of the pin placement is all-important as the surface slopes steeply from right to left.

N1 from Cape Town
Exit 39 - R304 to Stellenbosch, at the stop sign turn right towards Stellenbosch
Drive 7km and at Traffic lights turn right into Bottelary Road (M23)
Drive 1km and turn left into Devonvale (Blumberg Drive)
N2 from Cape Town
Baden Powell exit #33 (R310), at T-junction turn left towards Stellenbosch
Drive 10km and At T-junction (past Spier), turn right towards Stellenbosch
At 3rd traffic lights, follow the road as it bends left into Adam Tas Road (past the train station)
At the second set of traffic lights turn left into Bird Street (R304 direction Cape Town and N1)
Stay on the R304, and once out of Stellenbosch (over the bridge and past Khyamandi) drive 8km,
past the petrol station and at the traffic lights turn left into Bottelary Road (M23)
Drive 1km and turn left into Devonvale (Blumberg Drive)
