Christine Montalvo serves as vice president of marketing for Sotheby’s International Realty, Inc. Montalvo brings diverse experience as a marketing leader and brand strategist having served in a variety of industries including art, luxury goods, retail, hospitality and real estate.
Previously, Montalvo was vice president and international marketing director at Christie’s where she repositioned and grew the jewelry, watch and wine categories into a global luxury division. In addition, she spearheaded marketing for Christie’s first auction in mainland China and launched Christie’s Private Sales division. Prior to her work in the auction business, Montalvo spent five years at The Seventh Art, a real estate branding agency where she was instrumental in pitching new business and serving clients including Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Mandarin Oriental, Brown Harris Stevens, Corcoran Sunshine and CORE. She began her career marketing luxury beauty and fragrance brands.
Complimenting her business experience, Montalvo also brings to her role a special appreciation for the many unique communities Sotheby’s International Realty serves having lived in Manhattan, the Hamptons, Santa Barbara and most recently, Los Angeles. A true global citizen, she has studied abroad in England, France and Japan, and earned a Master of Arts degree in luxury brand management from Istituto di Polimoda in Florence, Italy.
