Designed by world-renowned architects George and Tom Fazio and opened in 1980, the 6000 yard Mahogany Run Golf Course attracts thousands of visitors each year – golfers and non-golfers, celebrities, and Presidents alike – to its challenging fairways and lush greens. Carved from Blue-Bit stone and nestled between the beautiful hills and breathtaking shoreline of St. Thomas’ scenic North side, the course provides an opportunity to experience our island’s amazing wildlife and natural scenery– from iguanas, mongoose, white-tailed hawks, and pelicans to the seasonal migrations of humpback whales, you’re sure to have a memorable sighting to share with your friends and family. Perhaps most awe-inspiring, the course includes the world famous Devil’s Triangle, a three hole stretch sure to challenge the best of players. Included in the Devil’s Triangle is the par-3 14th hole, situated 200 feet above a rocky inlet of the Atlantic Ocean and offering breathtaking views of the neighboring U.S. and British Virgin Islands – an experience not soon forgotten.
Open year round, 7 days a week, Mahogany Run Golf Course caters to the traveling guest by offering complete equipment rental packages, including new sets of the latest Taylor Made RBZ clubs (available in right or left handed for men, women, and seniors), as well as new FootJoy golf shoes, towels, and name brand balls.
While at the course, make time to visit Mahogany Run’s “Golf World Top 100” Golf Shop and Gift Boutique. In addition to the top-line clubs, bags, and equipment found in the Shop, the Boutique offers a wonderful selection of resort sportswear and logoed merchandise providing the perfect souvenir for you or a cherished gift for friends and family back at home.
On course dining options include Coconuts Snack Shack, conveniently located a short walk from the clubhouse. Coconuts offers quick refreshments at the turn, as well as made-to- order sandwiches, ice-cold beverages, and a terrific view of the 18th green for pre or post-round relaxation. The Grille features a choice of mouth-watering selections, from grilled steak, fresh seafood, and vegetarian options to a “Not to be Missed!” dessert menu. Nestled among the bougainvillea-lined fairways, you’ll view the Caribbean’s finest flora, everything from ancient mahogany trees, beautiful crotons and bromeliads, and islander favorites soursop, seashore almonds, and calabash, to our pride and joy, the “Tree of Life,” Lignam Vitae. Mahogany Run is also home to amazing island wildlife, from iguanas, mongoose, and white-tailed hawks to the seasonal migrations of humpback whales.
Challenging / Picturesque Holes:
With its narrow fairways and sloped greens, Mahogany Run favors accurate drives and precise iron play.
