Sara Bay Country Club
Sara Bay Country Club features an 18-hole golf course designed by the “dean of golf course architects”, Donald Ross. Donald Ross chose a piece of land near Sarasota Bay that included undulating terrain, native trees, and a meandering creek.
In the fall of 2006, the course was extensively renovated by Brian Silva, which included all new tee complexes, rebuilding of all bunkers, improved drainage, re-grassing of fairways, and conversion of putting surfaces to TifEagle Bermuda.
The course is walker friendly and the club offers lessons and clinics as well as a pro shop.
