Ann Hay Hardy

Ann Hay Hardy is the President of Frank Hardy Sotheby's International Realty. A Charlottesville, VA, native she, grew up working in the real estate business with her family's company. She attended St. Anne's Belfield School, and is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she graduated with a BFA in Film. She studied abroad at the Chelsea College of Art in London and the Villa Arson in Nice, France. While in London, she secured a job in the fashion industry where she remained after college. She then relocated to Los Angeles, California to work in television.

In 2007, she returned to Virginia to work with her family's business and became a broker with the firm. She has grown the company to what it is today, including leading the path to affiliate with Sotheby's International Realty in 2015. Under her leadership the company has maintained its position as the #1 top ranking luxury brokerage in Charlottesville by having the highest average sales prices year over year for all sales over $1MM since 2008.

Ann Hay is thorough in her communication and dedicated to always meeting her clients' needs and expectations. She is experienced in working with buyers and sellers in both the residential and estate markets. Having lived all over the country and internationally has not only broadened her network and reach, but given her an understanding of the truly global marketplace and community. Her artistic background presents a new way to look at real estate, which her clients find advantageous. In 2020 alone she was a top 3 agent for all sales over $5MM, top 5 agent for all sales over $2MM, and top 10 agent for sales over $1MM. In her career thus far she is ranked a top 2 agent in her firm and top 20 for volume in all sales over $1MM, making her one of Charlottesville's top brokers for the upper end.
Ann Hay and her husband, a photographer, reside in Albemarle County with their two sons. She values her time with friends and family, and is a regular supporter of many non-profit organizations in the community. She is an avid tennis player and enthusiast.
