Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty’s Spring 2026 Community Fund makes an Impact.
The Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty Community Fund recently completed its Spring 2026 grant cycle, awarding $5,000 to Routt County nonprofit organizations.
Since its inception in 2017, the SSIR Community Fund has contributed over $140,000 to 60 different programs and organizations. Established in collaboration with the Yampa Valley Community Foundation, the fund was created as a way for Steamboat Sotheby’s Realty brokers and staff to collectively contribute and make a meaningful impact in Steamboat Springs and Routt County. The programs funded include health & human services, senior services, youth programs, arts and the environment.
The Spring 2026 grant funding was awarded to:
Community Agriculture Alliance / Yampa Valley Foods: $1,000
The Community Agriculture Alliance Agriculture & Food Systems Fellowship is an 8–10 week immersive program that provides hands-on experience across Northwest Colorado’s local food system—working with Yampa Valley Foods and regional partners on farming, processing, distribution, sales, and community engagement—while building practical skills in sustainable agriculture, market operations, and food system development.
Better Tomorrow: $1,000
The requested funds will support the replacement of an outdated and unsafe playground at Better Tomorrow’s domestic violence shelter. This project will create a safe, trauma-informed outdoor spacewhere children can play, regulate, and begin to heal while staying in shelter. By providing age-appropriate equipment and impact-absorbing surfacing, the project ensures both physical safety andemotional well-being for children experiencing crisis.
Northwest Rocky Mountain CASA: $1,000
Northwest Rocky Mountain CASA seeks funding to support its trained volunteer child advocates, who provide critical casework and supervised family time for abused and neglected children—ensuring their voices are heard in court, supporting their well-being, and helping achieve safer, more stable outcomes.
Main Street Steamboat Springs: $1,000
The funds would be used to support kids’ activities at the 2026 Farmers Market. These are held throughout the summer. In addition, money would be used to create a rock garden behind the public restrooms on 7th street. Monies would be used to pay for program supplies and staff time.
Strawberry Park Elementary: $1,000
This funding will help us with our fall 5th grade camping trip. Our goals are for the students to stepoutside their comfort zones and take on new challenges with courage. We aim to build confidence, teamwork, and independence through activities like setting up and breaking down the campsite, preparing meals and cleaning up afterwards, hiking, ropes course, and much more. Another goal is teaching students how to leave no trace and respect nature.
“Our Team at Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty is grateful to be able to help support some great causes and organizations in our community with this fund,” says Barkley Robinson, Community Fund Chair and Broker Associate. “We put a lot of thought into how we award the grants each cycle.”
The next round of grant applications will be announced in Fall 2026. For more information or to apply for a grant, visit www.steamboatsir.com or call 970.879.8100.
